Reid Hospital & Health Care Services is a private, not-for-profit provider that encourages a team approach to caring for patients. Our mission of caring for the whole person - in body, mind and spirit - is at the heart of all we do at Reid. Equipped with the latest technology to diagnose and treat patients, Reid employs more than 1,500 people and benefits from the services of 500 community volunteers. The Medical Staff includes 177 members, more than 90 percent of whom are board certified. The physicians provide care in nearly 40 specialties and sub-specialties. Reid is a regional referral center for a service area of about 280,000 residents in five counties in east central Indiana and two Ohio counties. The hospital is situated on U.S. 27, a major north-south route between through Indiana & Michigan. Just two miles north of the hospital is I-70, and a mile south is U.S. 40 (The National Road) both of which are major east-west thoroughfares.

Reid innovations include a sick-child day care service called the Popsicle Center, and Satisfaction Guaranteed, which provides a money-back guarantee for services. If a patient's complaints about specific service cannot be resolved, the patient is not billed for those services.
