Getting Around (Floor Maps)

To help make getting around Reid easier on you and your family, we've highlighted each floor of our hospital and provided you with information on the services provided, waiting areas and restrooms.

In addition, we've put an electronic version of our paper Visitor's Guide online for your reference as well.

Reid Hospital - Main

1st Floor:

In addition to the grand fireplace and "Dreamworks" cloud sculpture suspended over our main lobby, the first floor for the hospital also includes the Cancer Center, our Emergency Fast Track and Occupational Medicine unit, our Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory Services, our Administration area, Human Resources and the Café at Twelve Hundred.  We also have several conference rooms and a library located on this floor.

2nd Floor:

The second floor of Reid Hospital is where we do all our inpatient surgery and houses our Critical Care areas.  Each critical care room features a dedicated space for family members, along with the very latest in critical care technology. Also on this floor is the Golay Chapel - a beautiful, quiet space for prayer and reflection. The Golay Chapel is available to anyone and is open 24 hours a day. Massage therapy is located next to the chapel area.

3rd Floor:

Our third floor is where you'll find the newest members of our community in our Mother-Baby Care Center, along with our Acute Rehabilitation Unit.  The mother-baby unit offers home-like environment with its labor/delivery/recovery and postpartum rooms, as well as a state-of-the-art infant security system that alerts the staff and locks all entry and exit points until the baby's safety has been verified.

4th Floor:

The fourth floor of Reid Hospital includes two nursing units.  All patient rooms are equipped with a patient education system that allows patients and their visitors to enjoy television, Internet and email access, movies on demand, games, gift shop use and meal ordering.  In addition the halls of Reid will be much quieter as our new communication system allows us to call physicians and our employees through personal wireless devices - eliminating most overhead pages.

5th Floor:

The fifth floor is also made up solely of patient rooms.  Every unit has dedicated family areas.  And our rooms include sofas for visitors that fold out into a bed for overnight accommodations.

6th Floor:

The sixth floor includes three Psychiatric units - Gero, Outpatient and Adult Psych. The views from patient rooms on the upper floor "oasis" areas are part of the healing environment.

Lower Level:

The lower level of the hospital includes our Pharmacy, Kitchen and Biomed/Engineering areas.  The Reid Pharmacy serves Reid patients in the hospital, emergency patients, the Reid team and volunteers. The pharmacy is a short walk from the main inpatient tower elevators. Separate drop-off and pick-up windows minimize waiting. It also includes a private counseling room.

Outpatient Care Center

Our Outpatient Care Center is connected to the main hospital and includes the Ginkgo Boutique, our Breast Center, Radiation Oncology and Oncology Support, Outpatient Images, the Patient Care Center and our Reid @ Home medical equipment store. The main entrance to the hospital is also located in this area. Down the grand staircase, visitors will find Lingle Hall and Auditorium.  The Lingle space is available to the community for specific health-related events.  State-of-the-art audiovisual equipment allows projection into both the auditorium and hall when necessary. For more information, contact the Reid Education Department at (765) 983-3094.

Medical Office Building

If you need to obtain your medical records, you can find our new Health Information Management office located on the third floor of the medical building. Other doctor offices and clinics are also located in this area, including Reid Neurology Associates and Reid Orthopedic Center (South).
