Ganeshan
Ramachandran, D.O., will join the medical staff at Reid Hospital & Health
Care Services Oct. 24 and practice with Reid Orthopedics, specializing in hand
surgery.
Dr. Ramachandran,
a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, completed a Master's of
Public Health degree at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and his
Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the University of New England's College of
Osteopathic Medicine at Biddeford, Maine.
He followed
an internship and a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of
Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine, with a
fellowship in orthopedic hand and vascular surgery at the University of
Louisville.
Dr.
Ramachandran is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic
Surgery. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American
Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the American Academy of Orthopedic
Surgeons.
Dr. Ramachandran's
interest in travel is attested by extensive forays in five continents and the
Caribbean. A scuba diver, he is certified in advanced open water diving.
