Reid Hospital’s Ambassador for May is Clint Brubaker. Clint has worked at Reid for seven years in the Rehabilitation Center as an occupational therapist and is a certified lymphedema and hand therapist. Clint lives in Eaton, OH, where he grew up.
Nominators consistently noted that Clint has a wonderful sense of humor, genuinely cares for his patients and can be counted on to help co-workers whatever the need. “Clint is an excellent co-worker, always ready to tell a funny story and make us laugh or help us with his expertise to better treat our patients,” said a co-worker. Clint’s empathy for patients may have been enhanced when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He has now been in remission for 18 months. “Clint represented such courage as he continued to work through his battle with cancer, not letting it stop him from delivering excellent care to his patients,” noted another nominator.
“It is rewarding to give people the knowledge and tools to make their own lives better,” Clint said. “I love the sense of family at Reid. Our team works so well together and has a camaraderie that is supportive of each other and the patients we serve. Reid is always striving to be better—the same way we strive to make our patients better,” he said.
Clint received his BS degree from The Ohio State University and remains a loyal Buckeye fan. Besides cheering on the Buckeyes, he enjoys traveling, camping, hiking and being outdoors.
