Reid Hospital Foundation has been recognized by the national Aster Awards, hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images, Inc.
One of the largest national competitions of its kind, the program recognized outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in advertising/marketing efforts for the calendar year 2011. Reid was recognized with Gold awards in two categories:
Special Promotional Materials for the Reid BRAvo! Calendar, produced as part of the promotion for a campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for women who cannot afford mammograms;
And External Publication Series for the Foundation’s “I Am Thankful” campaign, which featured articles on patients and family members linked to fund-raising for various programs that help patients.
The 2012 Aster Awards received nearly 3,000 entries from across the United States as well as Canada and South America. Participant’s entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their category.
Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16% of the nation for advertising excellence. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
“Although our nation has been challenged economically, the talent of healthcare marketing professionals seems to be at an all time high. The 2012 Aster Awards program contained some of the best advertising arguably in the world. The judge’s expectations were again surpassed,” said Melinda Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator.
All winners are posted on the Aster Awards website (www.AsterAwards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
