May volunteer provides a welcoming smile (5-3-2013)
May’s Volunteer of Month, Marjorie Haisley, has almost 19 years of experience at Reid’s Information Desk. She is noted for her comforting and welcoming smile, and for going above and beyond to assist patients and visitors to their destinations from the Information Desk.

April volunteer a wealth of information (4-5-2013)
April’s Volunteer of Month, Kay Parks, has been a mainstay of the Information Desk for over five years. She is noted for her pleasant personality and for making a great first impression to hospital patients and visitors. Kay also helps with auxiliary fundraising events and aids with computer set up for payroll deductions.

March volunteer has logged over 1,500 hours of service (3-8-2013)
March’s Volunteer of Month, Nancy Clark, has been volunteering in the Medical Education office for over five years. She will soon be recognized for accumulating over 1,500 hours of volunteer service to Reid. Nancy works one or two days a week and primarily enters data for physician continuing medical education credits. She also reviews physician files for documentation needed for various accrediting procedures.

June Volunteer: Mike Pappin (6-1-2012)
Mike Pappin, the June volunteer of the month, has been sharing his time and skills in the Joint & Spine Center since its inception in 2010. Mike was selected for his friendliness and helpfulness to patients and their families. Also cited, is his enthusiasm about his role as a volunteer. Mike is very reliable and can be counted on to work past his shift when the unit is extra busy.

May volunteer (5-4-2012)
Mike Baumer of Centerville has been selected as Reid Hospital’s May Volunteer of the Month. Mike has served at the Information Desk Since January 2011. He was cited for going above and beyond in helping staff, patients and guests. He sees what needs to be done and then does it, nominators said, noting Mike always has a smile and is always willing to work a shift for others.

April volunteer (4-6-2012)
Ronn Berry has been selected as Reid Hospital’s April Volunteer of the Month. Ronn has served as an Information Desk volunteer for seven years. He is cited for his professional personality and helpfulness to patients, staff and guests. He has been instrumental in arranging monthly meetings for the Information Desk staff and assisting with other special projects. Even though Ronn lives in the Fountain City area, he calls in during bad weather to make sure all shifts are covered and to offer his help.

March volunteer (3-9-2012)
The Volunteer Services department has named Jane Retz as the March Volunteer. Jane has served as an Emergency Room Angel for six years and has received recognition for 1,000 hours of service.

February volunteer (2-10-2012)
February’s Volunteer of the month has served in the Ginkgo Boutique since 2006. Paula Dunaway, has logged more than 2000 hours as a volunteer at Reid Hospital.

January volunteer of the month (1-13-2012)
“Santa” Jim Holliger has been named Reid Hospital’s volunteer of the month for January. Holliger has helped staff the information desk inside the hospital’s main entrance for over two years. The Lynn, IN, resident is also seen in area communities during the holidays in a familiar red and white suit in the role of Santa.

Mary Ropp, a Reid Volunteer since 1996, has been acclaimed December’s Volunteer of the Month.
