Reid’s November Ambassador exemplifies compassion (11-14-2014)Lindsay Skaggs, Reid’s November Ambassador, has worked in the Psychiatric Services department for three years. She started as a patient care technician while she finished a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Indiana University East. She is now an activity therapist and is a junior in the IU East nursing program. Lindsay became interested in working with psychiatric patients after her father was diagnosed with dementia. He passed away last month, at age 59, due to the effects of the disease.
Patients first for Reid’s October Ambassador (10-3-2014)Tammie Angeles, Reid’s October Ambassador, has worked in Reid’s Cancer Center for two years. Her job as a an oncology social worker puts her in direct, close contact with patients and their families — a perfect fit for someone who considers helping people her calling. Tammie completed a bachelor’s degree in social work from IU East and a master’s degree in the field from IUPUI. She started her career about 17 years ago working in hospice programs and doing medical social work.
Family is central for Reid’s September Ambassador (9-5-2014)Ashley Trent, Reid’s September Ambassador, has worked in the Material Services department her entire eight year career at Reid. She started in Reid’s warehouse as an inventory control clerk in 2006. She moved from the warehouse to the dock and then became a buyer in 2009. Ashley became the support staff supervisor in 2013.
Enthusiasm is key for Reid’s August Ambassador (8-8-2014)Jared Dunlap, Reid’s August Ambassador, has worked the night shift in Reid’s Critical Care Unit for two years. He completed his ASN degree with Ivy Tech in Muncie and is working on his BSN. Jared joined Reid in 2009 as a third-shift tray passer for Food & Nutrition Services and secured a clinical position on 4 East in 2010. He moved to the Critical Care Unit in 2012 and is now a charge nurse.
Reid’s July Ambassador is a role model (7-11-2014)Jacki Humphrey, Reid’s July Ambassador, has been a radiology technician at Reid for almost 22 years. Jacki attended Miami University and is a graduate of Reid’s School of Radiologic Technology.
Reid’s June Ambassador is a ray of sunshine (6-13-2014)Tamika Turner, Reid’s June Ambassador, joined the Reid Oncology Center a little less than a year ago. Tamika came to Reid from IU Health Physicians were she worked on a bone marrow transplant unit. She holds a master’s degree in primary care nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a certified nurse practitioner. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Council and serves as a coordinator for a nurse practitioner Special Interest Group (SIG).
Reid’s May Ambassador has a smile for everyone (5-2-2014)Mary Johnson, Reid’s May Ambassador, has been at Reid for over nine years in Food & Nutrition Services. She is a team member in the Café at Twelve Hundred and can be counted on to carry out just about every job assignment in that area. Mary holds a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and previously worked in food service at Noble Roman’s and Wendy’s.
Reid’s April Ambassador provides a breath of fresh air (4-4-2014)Deanna Raper, Reid’s April Ambassador, has been a Reid team member for over 11 years in the Respiratory Care department. She is currently a clinical instructor for Respiratory Care and has been a respiratory therapist for 26 years. Deanna previously worked at the Children’s Hospital in Dayton, University of Kentucky Medical Hospital and McCullough-Hyde Hospital. She received her in training respiratory care from the Kettering College of Medical Arts.
Roses to Reid’s March Ambassador (3-7-2014)Jan Smith, Reid’s March Ambassador, has been a Reid team member for over six years. She is the office manager for Reid’s Wound Healing Center. Jan came to Reid following a 16-year career as a buyer for Hill’s Floral Products.
February Ambassador CAREs to the marrow of her bones (2-7-2014)Carrie Miles, Reid’s February Ambassador, has been a Reid team member for 14 years. She started her career at Reid in the lab and moved to the LEAN department two years ago as a facilitator. Carrie graduated from Ball State University with a degree in medical technology and earned her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan in 2009.
