After a bit more than 20 years of highly regarded service, a Hagerstown-area resident has been selected Ambassador of the Month for September at Reid Hospital & Health Care Services.
Rhonda Ullery, now the office manager for cardio-vascular surgery, drew accolades as one of the most giving persons one could hope to meet.
“She is wonderful with patients, co-workers and volunteers and is always willing to give advice or lend a hand. Rhonda addresses any situation with a very positive attitude,” wrote one nominator.
Another added, “Rhonda always has a smile on her face and has the knack of always being there when you need her.”
“Rhonda is the most personable office manager I’ve ever been around,” noted one nomination.
In another comment, Ullery was praised as being excellent with referring physicians and their office personnel and never losing her cool, even when things aren’t as described or planned.
“Most important,” summed up one nominator, “she’s just a really nice person, always willing to help.”
“Working at Reid is like coming home,” Ullery says. “This is ‘family’; I can’t think of any other place I’d rather be employed. I am so blessed.
Ullery’s two children, Krisha and Robb, are respectively a senior and a freshman at Hagerstown High School. Her fiancé, Steven Sickmann, a special education teacher at C.R. Richardson Elementary School, has three children.
Active in Chrysallis and Emmaus Community, Ullery is also a member of the New Testament Church of Christ Emmaus. She graduated in 1985 from National Trail High School and in 1987 from Ivy Tech.
