Richmond resident Pat Williams, for nearly 20 years a pillar of the Human Resources Department, has been honored as Ambassador of the Month for April at Reid Hospital & Health Care Services.
“Pat always gives you the feeling that your request is her top priority,” wrote one nominator. “She is polite, courteous and always responds promptly with a caring, cheerful attitude.”
An admirer of Williams’ cheerful spirit and helpful nature noted, “I appreciate the many times she has gone out of her way to answer my questions, and I see her treat all requests as equally important.”
Another nominator cited the Williams touch of always calling back promptly on the rare occasions when she has to research a question.
“Pat is a joy to work beside,” ruled a co-worker. “You can always count on her to be available, whatever the need may be.”
Among the nominations from six departments were appreciations of her can-do attitude, her absolute inability to find that something isn’t really her job, her reflexive manifestation of Reid’s C.A.R.E. standards and considerable surprise that she’d never been hailed as Ambassador.
A 1967 graduate of Centerville High School, Williams has spent her Reid career in Human Resources, in her opinion a great vantage point from which to enjoy and support the unfolding Reid story.
“I enjoy the interactions with all departments,” she says. “The tasks are ever changing, and the challenges are never boring. It’s been a large blessing to be a small part of Reid Hospital.”
Williams and her husband, Neil, have two daughters and a grandson. She is an active member of Catholic Women United.
