Hailed by nominators as a burst of sunshine, January’s Ambassador of the Month at Reid Hospital & Health Care Services is best known for furnishing coffee and cheer from the kiosk in the main lobby.
Chandra Falcone, a Reid team member in Food & Nutrition Services for a bit more than four years, was characterized by one of her fans as an ideal role model for customer service.
“She always has a big smile for everyone,” wrote one nominator. “Chandra never gets rattled no matter what the problem might be and is always very professional.”
One of the consultants on the Reid move, and a regular kiosk customer, recounted to a meeting how smoothly Falcone helped an elderly customer unsure of how to decant coffee while simultaneously steaming a drink for another customer.
“Her love for taking care of others truly shows,” a nominator summed up the Richmond resident.
Another noted, “Chandra makes getting coffee a fun experience . . . she treats everyone as her most important customer.”
“Chandra is one of the first people many employees, patients and visitors see in the morning, and she is always warm and caring to everyone,” wrote one of her regular customers. “Chandra is a huge example of what C.A.R.E. principles are about.”
“I could not ask for a better job or a better place to work,” Falcone, a home-schooled student whose high school diploma was issued in 2000, writes of her Reid experience. “It’s challenging. It’s rewarding. Most of all I love my job and love making people smile.”
The espresso barista and her husband Jason, a Sprint employee, have a seven-month-old daughter, Aubree.
