Ace accountant adds up to January Ambassador

Amy PuckettSelected January’s Ambassador of the Month from the Accounting Department is a three-year Reid team member whose backers hail her as an exceptional Excellist and a legend of the ledger.

“Amy is an absolute joy to work with; she’s quick to identify and meet needs, always with a gracious, respectful, humble spirit,” wrote one colleague of Amy Puckett, a Hagerstown area resident. “She has mastered the blending of professionalism and a great sense of humor.”

“Patient, pleasant and calm when explaining things, she always has an answer and a smile,” affirmed one nominator, mentioning that Puckett, a financial analyst, sought and secured a vice president’s permission to complete another department’s budget and data entry when health matters sidelined the team member responsible.

Endorsements from six departments clog the Puckett fan mail file, taking her natural, reflexive attention to the C.A.R.E. standards as their theme.

“Amy responds quickly and has a pleasant, calm and assuring voice, which is absolutely wonderful, especially during the budget process,” averred one nomination, which elaborated, “Most of my contact with her is on the phone. She always has a smile on her face, and you can hear that in her voice . . . definitely an Ambassador in our eyes.”

“She always makes you feel as though your project is her most important one,” summed up a nomination that noted Puckett’s contributions to several challenging projects.

A 1989 graduate of Lincoln High School, Puckett’s academic credentials include a 1992 associate’s and a 1994 bachelor’s degree, both in accounting and both from IU East. She says Reid is a wonderful place to put her training to use.

“I feel so fortunate to be able to work in an environment where everyone comes together to make sure the patient receives the finest care,” Puckett writes. “One can’t walk down the hall without witnessing the smiling, caring attitude of the Reid staff: awesome! I am truly blessed to be a member of the Reid family.”
