Reid Hospital Volunteers

Craft-oriented volunteer chosen as July honoree

Patricia CristPatricia Crist, a resident of the Williamsburg area, has been honored as the Reid Hospital & Health Care Services Volunteer of the Month for July.

Crist volunteers with Health Information Management and with Special Projects. One nominator notes, “Pat has been a great help to our department and fulfills her duties speedily and precisely.”

“She gets along wonderfully with everyone and is a lot of fun to work with,” another colleague added. “Pat is pleasant and cordial to everyone, and it is a pleasure to be around her. She is an outstanding volunteer.”

Crist’s citation, expanding on the topic, adds, “She always volunteers to put in extra time to meet high demand or workload. She also spends many hours at home sewing for our Reid babies and in creating and crafting activity blankets for our patients.”

A Reid volunteer since September 2003, Crist also volunteers for Birthright and Soup Kitchen. She and her husband, Howard, also a Reid volunteer, attend Fountain City Wesleyan Church. She is a Past Matron with 35 years of service in the Order of the Eastern Star.

Crist’s employment career includes five years at Friends Fellowship 13 years as business office administrator for Randolph County. Her hobbies include sewing, reading, puzzles and travel. The Crists have two daughters, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
