Awaken to the call of the faith-health movement! That is the theme for the Health Ministry Association this year. Reid Hospital is doing just that with the support of the Foundation. This program began in the summer of 1998. It has grown steadily since then. America's health care focus has been mainly on curative instead of preventative. The church is a perfect place to promote wellness. Reid's Health Ministry is endeavoring to help bring this about. Each month participating churches receive a packet containing information on health care; each month is a different theme. There is no cost to join the program. Upon joining, each church receives a wheelchair, a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope and a first aid kit. This is theirs to keep. Monthly packets include books and information to make a bulletin board or give a class.
